Antiparos has plenty of religious feasts throughout the year and honours the saints of the island with many festivals every year. The visitors of the island can enjoy traditional music and the resurgence of the island’s culture.The island’s most notable feasts are:

Every 7th of September, the traditional celebration in honor of Panagia takes place at the church of Panagia Faneromeni with food and wine. Visitors arrive here with a boat.

The feast of Agios Ioannis Spiliotis is held on the 7th of May at the small church of Agios Ioannis and is one of the best-known festivals in the island of Antiparos with traditional dishes and local wine offered to the visitors and locals.

Every 15th of July, the traditional three day celebration in honor of Agia Marina takes place at the port of Antiparos. The event involves several activities with yacht racing, triathlon swimming, and race in the streets of the island.

The summer festival is the greatest event of Antiparos involving various activities, sports, concerts, dancing and parties till the early morning hours. The celebrations last for three days.

The Festival of Ai Giannis on June 23 and 24 in Antiparos Town is held int the Castle and revives the tradition of Klidonas, an old custom where the men of the island gathet at the island’s square, sit around a fire and sing.  The role of fire works laxatively and exorcises every evil by driving it away.
